ICON SERIES
These are my Linoleum block
Reduction Prints from my ICON SERIES. They are a Modern Pop take on the
religious icons of church art from the middle ages. They are bold,
whimsical, subversive, feminist, sexy, spiritual, and striking. I was
very inspired by the screen prints of Andy Warhol for this series.
In Reduction
Printing, you cut away the linoleum and print each color, from lightest
to darkest; carefully layering them on top of each other to achieve the
completed image. I also like to make single color prints of each cut as
I work through the process. When you finish, the linoleum block
is completely cut out and cannot be used anymore. So each series is a
unique limited edition to that series printing. I print on an antique
hand crank press.

collaborate on color, style, and frame. The images vary slightly in
size, but run approximately 12 x 10" and I frame them in a 16 x 20" mat
and frame. I am also available to commission for special requests. |
